Overview

There is a lot of development potential within this role, as you will have exposure and contribution to strategy, operational planning, general management and implementation and service delivery.

 

You will focus on the following core areas:

Qualifications/ Experience

  • Outstanding communication and people skills
  • BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus
  • Management experience (people, process, and presentation skills)
  • 5 – 7 years Senior Management agency experience (marketing, production, PR, creative, OR related experience)

Responsibilities

  • Provide and maintain infrastructure for operations and drive strategic direction and planning thereof
  • Create and manage the production team’s work order and timeline
  • Manage Internal expectations in collaboration with the Project Managers with project progress through regular progress updates
  • Using agile methodology, motivate, collaborate and manage the in-house studio to execute projects to brief.
  • Solid understanding of scoping requirements and resources required for projects.
  • Accountable for building and maintaining internal workflows for maximum efficiency, productivity and effectiveness.
  • Responsible for team development and team health: Build strong relationships, foster good team spirit with all stakeholders
  • Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of the studio to ensure smooth progress
  • Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation
  • Regularly evaluate the efficiency of the studio’s procedures according to the agency objectives and continually apply and suggest improvements
  • Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resource allocation
  • Review and report on project status for clients
  • Manage and evaluate overall team performance by actively (and continually) reporting on value add, time and delivery efficiencies and report back to management.
  • Coach individuals to improve their performance, motivation, and success
  • Collaborate with team to strategize, execute and support growth of agency, client accounts, and team
  • Participate in the development of systems that allow teams to demonstrate clear and measurable value to stakeholder relationships.
  • Coordinate performance review process: people, teams and projects
  • Identify and seize opportunities to deliver operational efficiencies across the
    studio
  • Lead, inspire and motivate teams to understand and ‘live’ company values and to deliver commercial goals and ambition
  • Schedule and oversee Brand Onboarding Processes
  • Oversee all content created and delivered by the studio
  • Identify new opportunities

 

Production | Traffic Control

  • Coordinating the necessary FTEs and freelancers if required
  • Coordinate, own and manage daily stand up’s
  • Escalate concerns around process gaps that affect the delivery of projects andflow of work.
  • Management and maintenance of Project Management software -Monday.com

 

Quality Control

  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time and to spec.
  • Build an understanding of the content creation and production process as well as make recommendations on how such can be optimized
  • Ensure all content is executed as per brand guidelines in collaboration with the Creative Director and platform best practices

 

Administration

  • Responsible for a diverse set of administrative tasks in running the studio
  • Assist team in alleviating pain points and frustration
  • Maintain office services by organizing office operations and procedures
  • Design and maintain filing systems for content storage via the Digital Asset Management system

 

Skills

  • You must have experience of running an agency or studio’s operational processes
  • You must have experience of reviewing internal team performance and reporting/planning accordingly.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
